Courier & Carrier Integration

WMS Features for Courier and Carrier Integration

For companies shipping through courier services, Crosspoint integrates AWB generation directly into WMS workflows. The system supports label printing, parcel-status tracking, the creation of receiving records for undelivered shipments, COD (Cash on Delivery) monitoring and tracking of transport-service billing by logistics partners.

Multi-Carrier Integration and AWB Generation

The application communicates contextually with the carrier assigned to each order. AWBs can be generated during picking or consolidation, while multi-parcel shipping notes can be created for a customer order and included in the loading process.

Delivery Statuses and Integration with Other Systems

Intermediate and final statuses are retrieved automatically from courier systems and can be transmitted to other IT solutions, including eCommerce platforms or SMS services. For undelivered shipments, the returned information can automatically trigger the required WMS operations.

Transport Cost Control

For conventional transport operations, tracking transport orders and invoices enables cost analysis and allocation by cargo owner, product group or customer, providing a clearer view of logistics costs.

Order Planning

WMS Features for Order Planning

The Order Planning module enables customer orders to be managed and scheduled according to warehouse availability, supplier stock or production capacity. This gives Planning, Purchasing/Production, Logistics/Transport and Commercial teams a shared view of order status.

Interdepartmental Approvals and Replanning

Requests and replanning actions are tracked through approval levels and are available in the reporting area. Through the WEB module, access can also be extended directly to customers or suppliers to support confirmation and collaboration workflows.

Separation of Responsibilities Across the Workflow

The workflow can be segmented through user permissions. Order confirmation and communication with customer purchasing teams can be separated from warehouse-level logistics planning, while loading and transport complete traceability through the shipping stage.

Planning for Just-in-Time Scenarios

Access to planned inventory that is still in production or in transfer enables more accurate order planning and becomes essential in logistics scenarios approaching the Just in Time model.

3D Loading

WMS Features for 3D Loading

The 3D Loading module automatically generates loading proposals for warehouses where the variety of final packaging formats — pallets, boxes or other logistics units — makes manual planning difficult. Configuration takes transport rules and the characteristics of the goods included in each shipment into account.

Loading Rules and Transport Constraints

The algorithm can consider stackability, axle-weight distribution, order-line prioritization and multiple unloading sequences. The resulting loading proposal therefore respects both the physical constraints of the goods and vehicle and the operational sequence of deliveries.

Truck Fill-Rate Optimization

The resulting 3D plan can be reviewed and approved by the transport department before execution. The solution helps improve truck utilization and makes more efficient use of available loading capacity.

Applying the Plan in Warehouse Operations

Once approved, the plan is transferred to the loading module used by warehouse operators, so physical execution follows the positioning and sequence defined in the 3D solution.

Administration

WMS Features for Warehouse Administration

The Administration module enables WMS-specific elements to be defined and information received from external systems to be edited. The warehouse map, locations, storage rules and parameters used in put-away, picking and replenishment can all be configured.

Warehouse Structure and Operational Areas

The warehouse can be defined by physical aisles, inventory ownership structures and zones, with rules based on rotation speed, dedicated products or optimized picking routes. Areas may be physical or virtual, while special locations can represent receiving areas, ramps, service zones, shipping areas or docks.

Partner Administration

The system can manage suppliers, service providers, carriers, cargo owners, consignees and delivery addresses, linking logistics relationships directly to operational workflows.

Product-Level Attributes and Rules

Products can be assigned dimensions, packaging types and traceability rules by lot, expiration date or serial number. FIFO, FEFO and FMFO criteria, temperature and humidity requirements, multiple item codes, consignee-specific codes, packaging methods and images can also be configured.

Item Traceability

WMS Features for Item Traceability

The Item Traceability module provides centralized access to the information required to track warehouse inventory and operations. Users can analyze total stock, stock by inventory ownership or item group, stock records at item, lot or serial-number level, and the history of receiving, shipping, transport and inventory documents.

History and Operational Traceability

Crosspoint retains movement history and enables warehouse traceability at item, pallet, location and lot level. This information can be reviewed together with stock evolution and stock at a specific date, providing a clear view of changes over time.

Warehouse Activity Indicators

The system provides information on warehouse occupancy, item rotation, operational activity by location and short-dated products. Users can also track transaction volumes by type and time interval, as well as resources used, including printed labels and equipment utilization.

User Activity and Productivity

Reports support the analysis of user activity and productivity together with login history, helping evaluate workflows and identify areas where processes can be optimized.

Printing

WMS Features for Label Printing

The Printing component links labeling tasks directly to warehouse operations, allowing labels to be generated within receiving, picking, movement or inventory workflows. Pallet codes and collective packaging-unit codes support fast, simultaneous identification of goods.

Labels for Pallets and Operations

Crosspoint can generate labels for received pallets, pallets created during picking, pallets resulting from movements or deconsolidation, and pallets reorganized during inventory. Where printing does not take place during the operation itself, preprinted blind labels with unique serialization can be used.

Labels for Items, Lots and Locations

The system can print order labels, item labels, customer-specific item/lot labels and location labels. If a product has no barcode, one can be generated at receiving for either individual or collective packaging. Location labels include the storage-position code in both alphanumeric and barcode format.

Reprinting and Operational Continuity

Back Office users can request regeneration of damaged or lost labels without affecting traceability or the identification of logistics units already recorded in the system.

Inventory

WMS Features for Inventory Counting

The Inventory module enables inventory or verification orders to be created for the entire warehouse, selected product lists or selected locations. Depending on the final decision, the result can be closed as a verification only or can update stock through the automatic generation of receiving and shipping documents.

Simultaneous Inventory on Mobile Terminals

Front Office operations can be performed simultaneously by multiple users on mobile terminals, with data consolidated in the system. Inventory work can therefore be distributed across zones or teams without losing control of the centralized result.

Flexible Counting Methods

Crosspoint supports successive or simultaneous counts depending on the defined procedure and required control level. Results can be reviewed and compared before inventory differences are approved.

Cycle Counting Without Stopping Operations

Cycle counting can be performed without interrupting warehouse operations. The system automatically identifies locations with the oldest inventory date and supports interim postings before final approval of positive and negative differences.

Interfaces

WMS Features for Integration with External Systems

The Crosspoint Interface module supports WMS–ERP integration and connectivity with other external systems such as CRM, SFA and applications in the wider IT ecosystem. The connector supports standard formats and transfer methods including CSV/TXT files, shared tables, sockets, SOAP and REST Web services, and asynchronous imports.

Direct Queries from the Warehouse

Through the Front Office module, operators can check inventory directly from mobile terminals. Searches can start from an item, lot, serial number, container code or location, and the function is available contextually throughout the logistics process.

Complete Inventory and Operational Traceability

Crosspoint can track a lot, pallet history, stock evolution and SKU movements from receiving through warehouse exit. This makes it possible to verify both the physical and system-recorded path of goods whenever required.

Operational History and Accountability

Every operation is recorded with its exact completion time and the user who performed it, providing a clear audit trail for checks, internal audits and analysis of operational incidents or exceptions.

Transport

WMS Features for Transport Management

The Transport module enables transport orders to be created and assigned to a carrier, driver and vehicle by consolidating multiple orders already in the system. Planning can start from predefined fixed routes or user-defined zones, while the system generates dimensional alerts according to the selected vehicle type.

Transport Planning and Documents

Once loading is complete, Crosspoint can generate the packing list and transport document using consolidated cargo data. The module can be extended with truck scheduling, quality receiving, transport-cost tracking and integration with partner systems.

Controlled Loading on Mobile Terminals

For Front Office operations, the system issues loading orders on mobile terminals. Operators confirm pallets by scanning, with or without an imposed loading sequence, ensuring accurate confirmation that goods have left the warehouse.

Fleet Management for In-House Fleets

For company-owned fleets, Crosspoint Fleet Management tracks maintenance operations, vehicle-related documents, trip sheets and costs by cost center. The system can also indicate the exact planned position for each container during loading.

Delivery

WMS Features for Order Delivery

The Delivery module enables orders to be recorded and managed with information such as requested delivery date, consignee, delivery point, quantities, values and customer order number. Data can be entered directly in Crosspoint or received from integrated external systems.

The Delivery Monitor provides a real-time view of order status and allows orders to be released for execution according to criteria such as vehicle or route consolidation, delivery zones, customer type or picking strategy. In selected scenarios, task allocation can be performed automatically.

Optimized Warehouse Picking

Through the Front Office module, each operator receives assigned picking tasks. Collection sequences can use optimization algorithms such as shortest path and pallet stability based on product weight. Standard strategies include order picking, batch picking and wave picking.

Delivery Completion and ERP Integration

Once orders are completed, accompanying documents such as delivery notes or declarations of conformity can be generated, while delivery confirmations can be sent automatically to the ERP. This keeps the physical warehouse flow synchronized with commercial documents and information.

Movement

WMS Features for Inventory Movements

The Movement module enables move orders to be created for consolidating items and lots or applying specific stock-organization rules. Operations can take place between warehouse locations at container, pallet, box or item level, as well as between different stock containers.

Automated Movements and Inventory Optimization

Through integration with the Inventory Optimization module, move orders can be generated automatically according to operational dynamics: put-away after receiving, replenishment when minimum or critical levels are reached, and stock consolidation at product level. Separate pre-replenishment areas for picking can also be defined.

Move-Order Monitoring

The Movement Monitor provides visibility into work-order status and real-time execution, allowing Back Office users to intervene when exceptions or operational priorities arise.

Front Office Operations on Mobile Terminals

Operators can execute system-directed movements such as put-away and replenishment at pallet or item level. Authorized users can also perform manual pallet or item moves, merge products, break down pallets and consolidate pallets.

Receiving

WMS Features for Goods Receiving

The Receiving module allows system documents to be entered directly in Crosspoint when they are not imported from an external system or when the workflow does not need to start in Front Office. Return documents can retain links to their source documents, preserving information continuity and operational traceability.

Monitoring and Task Allocation

The Receiving Monitor provides real-time visibility into active documents and work-order progress. Depending on their role, users can review statuses or reallocate tasks. Allocation can be dynamic or static, while team leaders can intervene when operational conditions require it.

Receiving on Mobile Terminals

The Front Office module includes more than 12 common receiving scenarios and is typically used on mobile terminals. Each packaging unit can be assigned a unique identification code — a pallet ID — for tracking throughout the system.

Rules, Quality Control and Put-Away

Depending on configured restrictions, received pallets may be mixed or dedicated to a single product and, where required, a single lot. Value-added services, quality checks and put-away rules can be configured separately by transaction type.

Dashboards for Real-Time Decisions

The Dashboards module provides immediate visibility into operational workload and enables planned times to be compared with estimated completion times for open operations. Resources can then be reallocated quickly to reduce delays and balance workload.

Configuration and Alert Thresholds

Administrators can define dashboard structure, displayed information and relevant limit values for each indicator. Monitoring can therefore be adapted to user roles and responsibilities, while significant deviations can be identified quickly.

Kitting & VAS

WMS Features for Kitting and VAS

The Kitting & VAS module manages high-complexity activities, including assembly and disassembly operations based on BOM (Bill of Materials) recipes. Processes are natively integrated into Crosspoint traceability, while performed services can be billed according to commercial rate grids agreed with each customer.

Recipes, Components and Interchangeable Items

The system can automatically generate inbound documents for resulting products and outbound documents for consumed components. Variable recipes are supported, and interchangeable items can be defined for selected components so workflows can adapt to real operational situations.

Replenishment for Service Areas

For value-added service and packing areas, Crosspoint can manage the replenishment required to perform operations, taking into account commercial conditions and rules defined for each customer.

Packaging, Activity Standards and Labeling

Consumed packaging can be included in the recipe, while component operations can be tracked using both standard and actual effort. For resulting products, at stock-unit, packaging or transport level, the system can automatically generate labels configured by administrators.

Document Management

WMS Features for Document Management

The module enables documents generated in Crosspoint or received from external systems to be attached and tracked. Delivery notes, invoices, CMRs, loading and unloading images and other documents associated with logistics operations can be managed.

Document Traceability from Issuance to Archiving

Each document can be tracked throughout its lifecycle, from issuance and operational use through archiving. Linking documents to WMS transactions creates a unified record and makes information easier to retrieve for verification or audit.

Document Workflows for Key Accounts and FMCG

For deliveries to Key Account networks, the module can integrate delivery-note workflows, final document confirmation, receiving references and invoicing based on accepted delivered quantities. Commercial documents therefore remain correlated with logistics execution.

Automated Documents for Services and eCommerce

In service and eCommerce projects, documents generated automatically by customer systems can be attached directly to WMS transactions. This simplifies printing and use while preserving the link between each document and its related operation.

Packaging Management

WMS Features for Packaging Management

The Packaging Management module tracks items associated with returnable packaging and provides real-time visibility into available packaging stock, both for supplier replenishment and packaging held in customer custody. For manufacturing companies, packaging stock can be clearly separated by inventory ownership and warehouse.

Custody, Responsibility and Recovery

Packaging held in custody can be tracked simultaneously as the customer’s responsibility and as the responsibility of the carrier or driver assigned to recovery. The system supports issuing or recording guarantee reports and tracking the recovery percentage for each customer.

Special Packaging and Replenishment

Crosspoint supports special packaging, including CHEP pallets, where system tracking is required even when recovery is not the company’s responsibility. Based on stock and consumption, the module can estimate packaging requirements and generate supplier replenishment proposals.

Packaging Inventory

Inventory counting can be performed both for packaging in company-managed stock and for packaging held in custody at customer locations, maintaining a clear record of availability and responsibility.

Supply & Planning

WMS Features for Supply and Planning

The Supply and Planning module supports Supply Chain Management processes by calculating stock requirements, replenishment needs and delivery-time correlations. Associated reports help evaluate supplier performance and the impact of OOS (out of stock) on the supply process.

Automated Supply Proposals

Crosspoint analyzes rules defined by supplier, product range and item together with outbound transaction history. Based on this information, the system generates purchase-order proposals that can be adjusted by the Purchasing department before being sent to the supplier.

Supplier Order Confirmation and Tracking

Each request is issued with a unique series and can be re-imported after supplier confirmation with the final approved quantities. Planned and confirmed orders can therefore be tracked separately in the system.

Linking Receiving Documents to Supply Orders

Inbound documents can be associated with supply orders through a reference number at document, item or pallet level. When a direct association is unavailable, the system can propose automatic allocation to open orders based on FIFO consumption, subject to user approval.

Variable-Weight Module

WMS Features for Variable-Weight Products

The Variable-Weight module manages products whose weight varies and clearly separates true inventory differences from variations specific to this type of product. Weight information is integrated directly into WMS inventory records so stock remains accurate both quantitatively and in value terms.

Integration with Weighing Equipment

Crosspoint can integrate with warehouse weighing systems, allowing weight to be captured directly on the mobile terminals used by operators. Returnable-packaging management can be included in the same workflow when required by the operating process.

Tare, Gross Weight and Packaging

Rigorous management of primary and secondary packaging enables automatic tare determination and accurate gross-weight calculation for stock containers. A mandatory pallet-level verification can also be configured after the picking process is completed.

Pre-Taring Variable-Weight Packaging

For packaging whose weight can exceed established margins, such as certain pallets, the system supports pre-taring and association with unique internal codes, each storing the actual recorded weight.

Advanced Palletization

WMS Features for Advanced Palletization

The Advanced Palletization module automates the creation of mixed pallets for items whose dimensions and pallet-layer structure are correctly defined. Crosspoint uses this information to generate palletization proposals adapted to the characteristics of products included in the order.

Product Stackability Rules

When building pallets, the system applies configured stackability rules so product positioning respects defined restrictions. These rules enable controlled organization of pallets containing multiple product types.

WMS-Directed Palletization Tasks

Based on the calculated solution, Crosspoint generates the tasks required for warehouse operators. They physically execute the operations indicated by the system, maintaining the link between automated pallet planning and actual logistics execution.

Crosspoint supports configuration of control plans, validation frequencies and rules for releasing lots of critical materials or finished products.

Quality Restrictions at Lot, Pallet or Receiving Level

Quality reasons that restrict shipping or stock usage can be associated at lot, pallet or inbound-document level. Depending on the result, the system can generate relocation tasks, stock blocking/unblocking actions or additional inspections.

Traceability of Quality Incidents

Every operation associated with quality control is recorded in the system, providing complete traceability of decisions and interventions. Incidents can therefore be followed from identification through resolution and stock release.

Quality Documents and Inspections

Crosspoint supports tracking of quality reports, warranty certificates and other quality documentation or inspection results, maintaining the connection between documents, lots and related logistics operations.

HUB & Cross-Docking Flows

WMS Features for HUB and Cross-Docking Flows

The HUB & Cross-Docking module tracks orders in multi-warehouse structures from the source warehouse to the final hub from which delivery to the customer takes place. Crosspoint can monitor each parcel or pallet in transit separately, including scenarios where stock is not managed conventionally in the intermediate warehouse.

Physical Traceability Independent of the ERP Flow

The system correlates the physical route of goods with commercial information even when the billing warehouse remains the source warehouse. At an intermediate hub, the specific cross-docking receiving flow and onward dispatch to the defined destination can both be tracked.

Loading and Document Control

Crosspoint enables confirmation that goods are loaded toward the correct destination at every stage of the flow and retains documents associated with parcels, pallets and transport. Returnable packaging and the corresponding return flows can also be tracked.

eCommerce and Pick-Up Point Flows
